Participation Guidelines for the National Financial Literacy Quiz

  1. Open to all students who have completed 10+2 / higher secondary education and are currently enrolled in any recognized college, university, or institution in India.
  2. Separate quizzes for UG & PG cohorts.
  3. Participants must be 25 years or below as of December 1, 2025.
  4. Students from part-time or distance education programs are NOT eligible.
  5. Eligibility includes final year graduation / post-graduation students of the same academic year. Such participants will remain eligible for all subsequent rounds of the NFLQ, even if they have graduated or completed their course in that academic year, provided their registration is during the period they were enrolled as students in a particular course.

  1. Participation in NFLQ 2026 is free of charge.
  2. Any request for payment or fee is fraudulent and should be reported to the organizers.
  3. Participants must maintain integrity and ethical conduct throughout the quiz.
  4. Teams using unfair means will be immediately disqualified.
  5. In case of teams qualifying for the subsequent round, verification of information submitted by them at the time of registration will be carried out. If any discrepanciesare observed, it will result in disqualification.
  6. Participants agree to receive communications and may be recorded or photographed for official purposes.
  7. NISM reserves the right to modify rules, structure, or cancel the quiz if necessary.
  8. All decisions by organizers are final and binding.
  9. Participants should regularly check the official NFLQ website for updates, rules, and FAQs.
  10. Students must provide their individual names, gender, date of birth (as mentioned in Class X certificate), email ID, mobile number, and Student ID number (if ID Card has not been issued, the number mentioned on the bonafide certificate / authority letter / validation letter / authorization letter issued by the college / university must be provided). These credentials will be verified if the teams selected for the subsequent rounds and if found incorrect/incomplete, will lead to disqualification.
  11. Participants agree to adhere with the rules and regulations laid down by NISM.

50 colleges from each region will be shortlisted for the Regional Round as follows:

  1. Top 15 colleges in each region, based on maximum student participation, will get a direct entry to the Regional Round.
  2. Top 5 colleges in each region will qualify based on their weighted average score.
  3. The next 30 colleges will qualify based on a combined score , which will be calculated using the average student score, and the number of participants from that particular college/department/college category listed with NISM.
  4. If a college qualifies under more than one criterion listed above, then the next eligible college on the score list will be selected to ensure that 50 distinct colleges qualify from each region.

Two students from a college will form a team. The same team must represent the college throughout all subsequent rounds up to the Grand Finale.

However, once the team has represented the college in the Regional Round and qualifies for the Grand Finale, the team cannot be changed. The same pair of students must participate in the Grand Finale.
