The National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) 2025 is a premier nationwide competition designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students to showcase their knowledge of financial literacy and securities markets. With regional rounds held across six zones and the grand finale bringing together top talent, NFLQ 2025 offers a platform to learn, compete, and excel in the world of finance!

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), a capacity building initiative of SEBI, is committed to enhancing financial literacy and promoting a deeper understanding of securities markets in India. By conducting the NFLQ, NISM aims to empower students with essential financial skills, fostering a financially aware and informed generation.

Quiz Competition FAQs:

  • i. The National Financial Literacy Quiz 2025 is open to all candidates who have completed their 10+2 / higher secondary level of education and are currently enrolled under any course / stream in any College/University/Institution operating from India. Only recognised College, University and Institutions shall be eligible to participate.
  • ii. The competition is open to both Undergraduate and Post-graduate students under separate category.
  • iii. The age of the participants should not exceed 25 years as of December01, 2024.
  • iv. Students may register themselves directly or through their college representatives.
  • v. Students enrolled in part-time / distance education programs are NOT eligible.
  • vi. Regional and National Winners of NFLQ 2024, National Financial Literacy Quiz 2022, other similar events conducted by NISM are NOT eligible to participate in this quiz competition.
  • vii. Students enrolled in long-term programs at NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) are also not eligible to participate in this quiz contest

Answer: The college and student registrations for NFLQ 2025starts on December 06, 2024. Round 1 of the Quiz Competition is open from December 06, 2024 to April 30, 2025.

Students may register for NFLQ 2025 through following ways:
1. Direct Registration

Students may directly register through the NFLQ 2025 portal or get registered through their respective colleges. College registration is mandatory prior to student registration. Therefore, in case your college is not registered, please request your faculty / HOD / Principal / Director to register your college first. Colleges which are already registered need not register again.

2. Through College

Student may provide their details in bulk to their college representatives (Faculty Co-ordinator / HOD / Principal / Director) and the college may enroll such students in bulk.

3. Through NISM Resource Persons

Students may also get registered through NISM Resource Persons authorized for the same.

Answer: The more the merrier,infact,the top 3 colleges with the highest participation will be rewarded with cash prizes/shields at the grand ceremony,to be held in Mumbai.

Answer: If any college student whose college has not already registered and he/she wants to participate,then he/she can contact their college Faculty Co-ordinator / Head of Departments / Principal / Director for initiating the College Registration

Answer: Yes.He/she can apply directly. The College where he/she is studying can also nominate the student.

Answer: Applications can be submitted only through on line modeat https://nflq.nism.ac.in.Applications for NFLQ 2025 in any other mode will not be accepted and shall not be considered.

Answer: During initial registration, students are not required to upload any documents. However, scanned images of photograph and Photo identity proof are to be uploaded at a later stage. The same can be done after logging into the student's account.

Answer: Yes. College has to provide the students correct email address/mobile number, because, all communications from NISM regarding the test will be sent on registered e-mail ID/mobile number only. Providing incorrect data may lead to disqualification.

Answer: NISM has made various study material available on the NFLQ Portal for participant's reference. The same can be downloaded at https://nflq.nism.ac.in Additionally, participants can also download study material from the SEBI Investor website at https://investor.sebi.gov.in

Answer: Students can login to the NFLQ portal and access the Round 1 Online Quiz directly upon login.

  • i. Reliable internet connection and a device capable of accessing the quiz portal such as a smart phone, laptop, desktop or tablet.
  • ii. Supported browsers: Latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.
  • iii. Participants are responsible for ensuring technical readiness, no reattempts will be allowed.

  2. Medium of examination: English
  3. Number of Questions:40

  5. Combination of 1 mark,3 mark and 4mark questions
  6. MCQ type questions with options(alternatives) for each question

  8. The total marks for the quiz will be 100.

From Round 1 to Regional Rounds
  1. Top 50 teams (UG and PG) from each region will qualify based on a combined score computed on the basis of average student score and number of participants from the particular college.
  2. The respective colleges will nominate a team of two students for subsequent rounds.
From Regional Rounds to National Rounds
  1. Top 10 teams (UG and PG) from the six regions will advance to the National Rounds.
NISM reserves the right to modify the above process / criteria / winners or any other related activities.

Travelling Related:

Expenses related to travel and stay for the subsequent rounds will be borne by NISM subject to internally fixed limits.
